Adam Gray

Mr. Gray is Managing Partner of Coliseum Capital Management and has more than 35 years of private equity and operating experience. In addition, he has significant expertise leading operational and financial restructurings and has helped guide organizations through highly complex and distressed situations.

He is currently a Director of public companies NFI Group and Purple Innovation (where he serves as Chair) and was formerly a Director of numerous other public companies, including, DEI Holdings, Benihana, The Pas Group (Chair), Redflex Holdings (Chair) and Blue Bird Corporation.

Prior to co-founding Coliseum in 2005, Mr. Gray was Executive Vice President, Strategic Projects and Capital Management, at Burger King Corporation (from 2003 to 2004), serving in this capacity on behalf of the private equity sponsors – Texas Pacific Group, Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs.  From 1989 to 2003, Mr. Gray was employed by Metromedia Company at various affiliated companies.  From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Gray was at Kluge & Co, and from 1989 to 1990, Mr. Gray was at Kluge, Subotnick, Perkowski & Co.  Prior to that, Mr. Gray worked within the Merchant Banking Group of Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Gray is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Management & Technology Program and holds both a B.S.E. in Finance from the Wharton School as well as a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
